On the treadmill late at night.  I spent the morning packing and cleaning my friends house.  She's the one whose daughter was just diagnosed with diabetes; and her parents are going overseas to serve a mission (left today) and so they are moving into their house.  Awful timing, huh!  So, a wonderful, organized, phenomenal woman mobilized a ward ARMY of to pack, clean, load, unload, clean, unpack, etc. for this sweet sister who is going through too much in such a short time.  It was amazing to be part of such an army for good - an army of service.  It was like experiencing a New Era story firsthand!  Of course, it was exhausting as well.  But I look back on it as a really wonderful opportunity.  It's not very often that I get to witness the amazing good that sweet people who are willing to serve with love can do.

Lybi convinced me to run even a short run on the treadmill.

I was too bummed about the election to post that night.

Since I was so lazy last night, I made myself get up early and face the windy sub-freezing temps (whine, whine - yes, it actually wasn't as bad as I imagined it would be.)   I sure appreciate the end of daylight savings time - it was actually pretty light at 6:45!  :o)  I might try it again tomorrow - maybe a little earlier since the 2 little ones sometimes get up early.

This is a total guesstimate because I forgot to bring my garmin to Utah with me.  I went running with one of my old BYU roommates, but she was coming down with a cold and struggling with the altitude, so we had to walk a lot for the first 1/2 mile.  She finally called it quits and went back.  I headed out again.  So, I think all the running put together was approx. 3 miles.  Utah has remarkably staight streets - it was actually unnerving to see my ending goal for so long in advance.  ha!

This was my last run in Utah - and a WET one since it was spitting rain the whole time.  It was a decent temperature, though.  I'm in Utah for a reunion with my college roommates and having a blast!!  We saw the new Joseph Smith movie (excellent!), got pedicures (first time - a new found love!) and went back to our stompin' grounds at the Y.  It was fun to be with good friends and have some mom-off time.  We were happily amazed to note that we are all:  college graduates, happily married, having children, still strong in the gospel, and still .... pretty much the same as we were in college.  ;)  Except life has sobered and humbled us all in different ... yet similar ways.  Life is amazing that way.

So, I got a little disappointed at how bad I was getting at running inconsistently and figured that I should stop posting on the blog.  But I can't really stay away for long.  I love the encouragement, the tracking ability, and the friendship of those I've met on the blog.  So, here I am ... again... repenting.  :)

I'm trying to reconstruct past running.  I know that I've only run twice each week for the past 3 weeks (probably my worst record in over a year of running!).  I can't remember exactly if the mileage is accurate, but it's close.

Thanks, Caroline and Christi, and all my other FRB friends and family for keeping me accountable and blogging!

Running outside in Phoenix.  Wow, I love running in lower altitudes - it feels so much easier to breath.  My legs are the only limiting factor, which is an unusual feeling.  :)

In Phoenix still, but at a different family member's house.  Great run!
