Ya know those runs where ya just don't wanna keep going?  Well, that was tonight.  I even increased my speed on the treadmill to try and get it over with faster, but after 3 miles - I was done.  That's the only problem with the treadmill: once your brain decides you're done, you can just step off; if I was outside running, I'd still have to run home.  Oh well.  It's my taper week, right?   (wimp)

By the way, I went to the chiropractor today and my hip is feeling good.  I made another appt for Friday just to make sure.  Can you tell I'm a little nervous?  ha!   ; )

Yes, it IS your taper week. Don't feel bad, and stop running so fast now, okay? Time to just relax and run comfortably. The most important thing you can do these last couple days is sleep sleep sleep! It is ridiculous how many races are all but ruined by poor sleep in the last week. SLEEP!

I'm glad that your hip is feeling better. Lybi is right. Get lots of rest. Is your race on Monday?

Yes, tapering is A, OK! Esp. after that hardcore treadmill run. 8 miles on a dreadmill, that's tough stuff. Good job getting into the chiro. GOOD LUCK on your race. You're READY!

Thanks, Lybi, Carolyn, and Christi. Lybi, I've actually been getting a nap every day lately - trying to follow your advice! And yes, Carolyn, the race is on Monday. Ahhh!
