I didn't have much time to run before my Visiting Teaching appt today, so I quickly got in 3 miles.  It's still amazing to me that I ran 10 MORE than that less than 2 weeks ago.   That half marathon has given me an amazing sense of accomplishment!  But, I've kind of fallen off the wagon since then.  Part of it is the weather - it's getting colder (40's) and dark at 6:00 in the morning, so I'm less anxious to get out and run .... especially since I know it's only going to get colder.  So, I actually ran during the middle of the day today (wed - I'm blogging this a day later) and enjoyed the sun and warm temps.

I'd been wondering what happened to you. Way to get out and run today and way to get your visiting teaching done. I need to follow your example in that respect.

It gets light shortly after 6:00 these days and it's nice to be out with it not too hot and not have the sun in your eyes. Give it a try.

You need a race to motivate you? Plan to do the HRCA Backcountry 10 miler with me on October 11.

What? Run when the sun is up? What kind of sacriligious malarky is this? ;)

I know what you mean about the sense of achievement..you really DID do a really cool thing!

Good job, Laura, keep it up.

Carolyn, I'm not ignoring you!! I've been searching my soul all day to see if I have the umph to prepare for a 10 miler in less than a month. Part of me really wants to - for the motivation; part of me is ... enjoying retirement or something! ;o) I think the runner in me is going to win the battle, but I'll let you know for sure next week. (How do you like that for wishy-washy commitment!?! ha!)
