I got to run with my husband for the first time today!!!  It was very fun to have a running partner for a regular run.  I think it was also good for him to go slow because he usually goes too fast and comes home with a pain in his back or knee.  Having just run with Lybi on Monday, it was very different to run with someone with such a different gait than me.  He's a foot taller than me, so going at my normal pace was slightly awkward for him - although it was injury-free.  We ran on a dirt path, so it was easy on the joints.  What's up with people and having a ton of dogs, though?  We passed this one house that had 7-8 large dogs - luckily they were safely within 2 different fences.  I hate barking dogs while I'm running.  At the end of the run, Mike wanted to sprint to the end.  He was very kind, though, and didn't leave me in the dust (literally) with his long legs.  :o)

So, since I've been blogging my runs and races on other people's computers, I've discovered that my Mac can't change fonts or colors like everyone else's PC can.  I always thought Lybi knew some great technical trick to change font size and color.  I didn't know that it was this easy.

Belated congrats on your race. You are really getting in good shape...you must be proud....and you must be feeling like a real runner...it's fun when you make that transition and can look people in the eye and say "I am a runner." Great job.

I am always so jealous of you gals that get to run with your husbands....Mine says running is self inflicted pain. You are very lucky!!

I to was amazed at the difference between a Mac & PC. I think that the blog on the Mac is visually better but the PC is easier to blog on...

Keep up the great work!!!

Good job Laura! Sounds like you and Mike are having fun running in NM. When I went for my run there I got chased by 3 dogs! In one run! AND some hunters (with guns!) popped out of the bushes as I was running by... Probably stray dog season or something. It sure is a whole different world, I'll tell ya.

So I blog on a Mac too, and I can't change colors and fonts...how did you do that!

BTW it's taken a couple of months for my hubby and I to run well together but it is sure fun! He has learned to slow down and I have learned to push it a little and now it works out really well. When he runs alone he can push it a bit and when I run alone I can relax more! It's kinda like a marriage! (he, he :D )
