Man, every time I get into a Stephenie Meyers book, I'm stuck!  I read it all day on Monday and Tuesday; and yesterday I was so tired from lack of sleep that I took a nap instead of running while my girls napped.  So, here I am, the repentant runner!  ; )  It's still surprisingly cold for the middle of May.  It was only 49 degrees at 11:30.  It feels wrong to be that chilly when the flowers are blooming and the grass is turning warm green.

So, who has read The Host already?  Did you like it better than Twilight?  I think I actually did.  It wasn't as romantic as Twilight, but the story had more meaning - and important, life issues that are great to ponder and discuss.

Laura, it would be nice if you and Lybi could read a few running books and tell us the short version. Hey 49 is great running if no wind. Thanks for your comments.

I have no idea what you're talking about.... I never stay up until 3:02 am reading Stephenie Meyer's newest book and then pour over her website for any little possible bit of deleted scenes. Okay, okay, I do do that every so often, but, um, only every time a new one comes out. So hopefully that will only be once or twice a year. Welcome back, prodigal runner! I guess it's time to kill the fatted...boneless skinless chicken breast or something.

I apparently like anything Stephenie Meyer writes. The Host is somehow more satisfying because of the themes and adult nature. Twilight is more obsessive because you get so into it. I think maybe I liked The Host better. Then again....
