The first mile was really tough today - my breathing was surprisingly labored and my low back was hurting. But then, I got distracted by the different route that I took ... that actually got me lost for a while ... and it turned into a great run. (hee, hee) The Garmin hit 4 miles just as I got to my driveway which was pretty lucky with all my winding around. Coming downhill was fun just letting my legs go. I think that's what's helpful about downhill - training my legs to turn over faster since it's easier to do on my cardio. Felt like I could've gone further, but like I said ... I was home! ;o)

Great job!! It is always so nice when a distance that used to be so hard, now is easy. Definatly the reward for consistency in training! WAY TO GO!!

Wow- you made 4 miles sound easy breezy today. You are on a roll!

Wow! Great run! I love those runs that start out miserable and turn out great. It is very encouraging :)

Great job, Laura! You really are doing fabulous on increased mileage. I agree with you about downhill, btw. Very helpful. Too bad I can't even FIND some stinkin' hills to run down around here.

Do you have any races scheduled soon?

Thanks, everyone!!

It's funny you should ask, Lybi. I was actually checking out upcoming races this morning - probably inspired by you, Heber, and Debbie all racing last Saturday! :O) I'm leaning toward a 5 race series, starting on St. Patrick's Day. The second one is in the Garden of the Gods. Sounds tough and hilly - but with gorgeous scenery.
