5K in 35:22!!!!! That's over a minute faster than my race time!!!! Woohoo! It's funny; I thought I was doing terrible. The first mile and a half were on a gradual uphill and I wasn't sure I was going to make it without walking; and then the way home was getting dark and I couldn't check my pace. So, when I finally looked at 3.1 miles, I was soooo surprised and happy!

I've thought a lot about what you said, Brent. I'm going to work to make sure none of my runs are "uneventful." I can see that feeling blah about my running will lead to not wanting to run more - and then stopping eventually. So, I'm going to look for something in each run that makes it eventful and interesting! I told this to Lybi and she said I could always TP a car or something. ha,ha - probably not what you had in mind, huh, Brent! But it sure would make it eventful!! ;o)

WOW !! That is so awesome! When you decide to get serious the improvements just keep coming! Way to end the week on a good note!

(eventful... hmmm?? I'll have to think about that!)

Laura, Great attitude, way to go on the time improvement. By the way, no pain while running? Try and stay consistent over the winter. We are proud of your improvement in both running time, endurance and most important, mental attitude. Great thing about running, the self-confidence gained spreads to the rest of your life.

Stay Cool, B of BS Rools out.

No, I really haven't been having much pain. Occassionally my hip hurts after I've been sitting for a while; but it's no longer correlated to my running. And sometimes when I'm running, my knee lets me know that it's unhappy; but it's usually something I can run through and it eventually goes away.

Thanks, Michelle!! Are you still coming off your vacation high, or are you firmly back home and in the trenches again? hee, hee.

Holy smokes! It is so cool that you seem to improve on almost every single run. I am so proud of you. You realize this is a lifetime record, right! Keep up the great work!
