I think this whole week is turning out to be a tough one for running. I feel beat up. Maybe I need to work harder on getting to bed earlier. I'm still waking up once to nurse, and then the kids are all up around 6:00 or 6:30. Going to bed at 11:00 is not cutting it. Windy today, but still warm. It was 49 degrees; yesterday was an amazing 68 degrees ... in December! ... in Colorado Springs!! I'm gonna see if I can go sneak in a nap while the babies are asleep.

Yes, need more sleep! Sasha may chime in here too, but from my own experience, if I don't get enough sleep, not only am I more irritable, but my running also suffers, and I become more prone to injury if the sleep deprivation continues long enough. With all you are doing, you should be trying to get at least 8 hours of sleep, especially when you tack on running.

Yes, James, I think 8-9 hours is what I'll shoot for. As you know, though, once the kids are in bed and you finally have quiet and freedom, the hours FLY so much faster and before you know it ... it's 11:30. Ugh. But I certainly don't want to get any injuries, and I'm tired of feeling hammered every day; so I'm going to try to make it to bed by 9:30 or earlier!

I feel your pain Laura! We are working on cutting out Simeon's night-time feeding(s) which means that Simeon now wakes up at 5 am wanting to eat and he won't go back to sleep afterwards. We go to bed at 10:00 and I still feel horrible. Take it easy and try not to overdo it. We nursing mothers have to stick together for our right to not run when we are tired :)

That is too funny, Sasha. I was just telling James yesterday that I needed to start blogging my hours of sleep. That would really help me!

I think that's a great idea, Sasha. I was going to start posting my sleeping hours too, just to make myself accountable even more. (Great minds think alike, Lybi.) There's nothing like having my laziness made public to keep me motivated.
