My garmin is really acting weird! It said that my run today was 3.8 miles, when I know it was closer to 3.1. Plus, I'm sure that my average pace was not 8 something, like it was saying. Very odd. Is there someway to fix a garmin that's acting up??

Anyway ... it was a tricky run today because half of it was on ice and snow with hardened footprints. Luckily, I never slipped, though I did throw my arms in the air once I told myself that my ankles were getting a workout by trying to keep me steady on a very uneven sidewalk. ;o)

Maybe the garmin was cashing in on comando points and giving you extra credits! 3 plus miles is a great run for you, and on ice!!!

Anytime the Garmin makes an error in your favor, take it! Good job and BE CAREFUL!

Cute new picture! I'm with Lybi - Take what you can get!

Good job on the run today. Garmin relies on clear sight to a GPS satellite to provide accurate data. One possibility is that it was having a tough time acquiring satellite lock. Another thing you can do is do a hard reset on the device if there is any corruption, but this will lose all its history and configuration. Garmin's support website should have details on how to do a hard reset on the 201/301, it may be different than the 205/305.

Laura, great job, be careful not to fall or twist an ankle. Garmins can be weird. Mine has never been that far off. Nice family picture.

Stay Cool, B of BS Rools out

Thank you, everyone, for your encouragement!!!!! Yes, I was tempted to take the garmin's numbers. ;o)

And, yes, Brent and Lybi - I will try to be very careful! I'm doing pretty good getting injuries already - I don't need any help from the ice!!

And ... thanks for noticing our holiday family picture. Of course I'm highly prejudiced, but I think my girls are absolutely adorable!!!! ;o)
