I took a different route today - it had much longer downhill and uphill stretches. Wowza!!!! The uphill was tough! It wasn't even much easier to walk it. I had our babysitter come again today which was nice. She has the entire week off of school, so I've been utilizing her!

1st mile - 12:00 mostly all downhill ;o)

2nd mile - 13:37 huffing and puffing!

Ave pace: 12:58

Good Job today, you are building those miles steady and sure!

Good job Laura, and YIKES. The "hills" in your neighborhood mean business! I still remember if from this summer. You would be amazed how much easier it is at lower elevations and on a flat course.

Hey are you going to do Moab? There is a 5 miler that same weekend. Check it out on the message board under announcements.

Proud of your dedication! Be careful on uphills because you can strain the tendons around your ankles. The key is to keep up the same pace (in terms of steps per minute) but take much shorter strides. If you take the same size steps then you stretch you peroneal tendons.

I am so way impressed. You are really sticking to it! Don't injure yourself.
